It’s about 10:45 on Tuesday night.  I was hoping to write about my 100th  best and 100th worst movies but I realized that I still have some work to do on both lists; mostly my top 100.  I have seen a ton of movies since I last updated everything and definitely need to make some changes.  The reason my bottom 100 is a little more stable is that I see less movies these days than I used to, so I try harder to see the good ones and not waste time with the bad ones.  Many of the movies on my worst list were seen while I was in college.  We had a black box with every channel and no one taking attendance at our classes.  As crazy as it sounds, Tango & Cash was more interesting to me than my Native Peoples of the Southwest class.  Anyway, I am working on it and it will be done very soon.  Definitely by the end of this week.

In the meantime here are a couple things that are on mind today:

I am really disappointed with the Clinton victories tonight in Ohio and Texas.  I was hoping for the knockout blow tonight.  Obama will still have a clear lead in the delegates but her wins are just going to keep dragging this thing out.  According to a Newsweek article it will be impossible for Clinton to come back regardless.  So here’s my problem.  These two are going to keep beating each other up for the next however many weeks and when Obama eventually wins, McCain is going to have built up an advantage.  Message to Hillary – stop helping the Republicans!  Have you seen her new commercial?  She now uses fear mongering like the Republicans.  Hillary please.  If by some force of nature you do come back and get the nomination, McCain will use this and the other arguments you use against Obama against you.   Hey Hillary, you need to give it up and rejoin the team.

Brett Favre retired today and it’s on the front page of every sports page on the web.  Not to say he doesn’t deserve the publicity, he’s one of the all time greats, but another future hall of famer called it quits today too.  Warren Sapp.  Sapp had an unwarranted reputation as thug because he tested positive for weed in college and for a few other blown way out of proportion reasons.  The fact is that he was a great player and supposedly well liked teammate that was fun to watch play and pretty damn hilarious.  See you Canton, Warren.

Sometime I wonder if girls practice being mothers on their boyfriends.

Dr. Dog is probably my favorite new band.  They released an album today of previously unreleased songs called Passed Away Vol. 1.  There is no doubt that this is a homemade album.  It’s got the feel that they are sitting around playing in their living room – this is not a bad thing.  Very Organic.  It’s reminiscent of something like Bob Dylan and The Band’s Basement TapesYou can listen to it here http://weallbelong.net/.  It and their other albums are available on iTunes.  It’s fantastic stuff.  Apparently they are working on another studio album now.  Their last, which was their first major studio release, is called We All Belong. Its tracks are all over the 25 most played list on my iPod.  (Besides having an iPod I have these sweet Bose headphones and a sick new pair of prescription sunglasses.  Did I mention I have the freshest beard in the Marina?)  They are great to see live too.  I just thought you all should know

That’s all for tonight I’m beat.  I was at a bachelor party over the weekend, forgot I wasn’t 20 anymore and am just starting to feel normal again.  Isn’t work awful after a weekend like that?  Sitting in the office the last 2 days has been like punishment for the hell I put substitute teachers through when I was in seventh grade.  That’s another reason you’re just getting these blurbs rather than anything of any substance.  Speaking of substances…  Anyway, I’ll be back soon so you should be too.  Get happy.  Only three more days until you have to start dreading Monday again.
